University of Aberdeen
The University of Aberdeen is an ancient Scottish University and one of the top 200 Universities in the World. It has a high proportion of international staff and students, with links to all over the world. Aberdeen is the Energy capital of Europe and this is reflected in the research done there. There are four main interdisciplinary research themes, which are "The North", "Environment and Food Security", "Energy" and "Pathways to Healthy Living". These themes involve staff and students from all over the University who collaborate together to develop projects. In particular, the theme of the North resonates with the issues covered by the University of the Arctic and there are also a number of major research projects in this field. Further information can be found on the website under each of these themes.
