The Arctic Technology Centre holds an annually Arket Event conference within the subject of Arctic technology entitled "Tourist Cottages, and climate Change."

Coastal and Marine Management is a cross-disciplinary master's program at the University Centre of the West-fjords. Each course in the program is taught intensively over a three-week period. Courses are open to external participants, including individuals and student groups.
