Online Seminar "Japan-Russia Interregional Cooperation in the Arctic and North – Theory and Practice" will take place on March 3, 2021 (15:00-18:00 Japan Standard Time, GMT +9). 

The session on Feb 25 aims to inspire youth to pursue arts and traditional creative practices to become a new generation of cultural leaders. Speakers will speak of their own projects, lessons learned, and reflections on culture revitalization through Arctic arts.

The Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) is launching an international call for bids to host the International Directorate Office for the organisation starting January 2022. The deadline for bids is 31 May 2021.

The Network Event Series is being organised by the Centre for Climate Justice at Glasgow Caledonian University in partnership with the University of Highlands and Islands, University of Aberdeen and UArctic, and supported by the Scottish Government.  

Hack-the-Arctic is a 48-hr online hackathon open to anyone interested to make use of Arctic environmental data to develop a service or project. The event will take place on 12–14 March 2021. 

The winter school in January 2022 is aimed at (inter-)national civil servants and policy makers, politicians, managers, financial experts, (young) academics and PhD students looking for a nuanced and wide-ranging understanding of the Arctic. Preregister by 27 September 2021.

The Agricultural University of Iceland is looking for a motivated PhD student to join the project “Herbivores in the tundra: linking diversity and function (TUNDRAsalad)” funded by the Icelandic Research Fund.

This book will be number eight in the Relate North series connected to the Arctic Sustainable Arts & Design (ASAD) Thematic Network of the University of Arctic and the second to be published by InSEA Publications.

The duties include actively seeking external research funding and implementing research projects, developing international research cooperation, high-level publication activities and postgraduate degree education. Application deadline: 9 March by 1 p.m. (UTC +2).
