UArctic’s Nominations Committee is kindly requesting UArctic members to come forward with proposals for individuals who could serve on the UArctic Assembly as Assembly Officer, Secretary. The call is targeted to the UArctic member institutions in Sweden and Kingdom of Denmark.

Dr. Shahnaj Begum, the lead of the Thematic Network on Ageing and Gender in the Arctic, contributed to an important conversation on ageing and climate change during the 4th ENAS and NANAS Conference, as well as the 6th ENAS Conference, held on April 9-11, 2025, in Lleida, Spain.

The event "Arctic Telecommunications Infrastructure: Past, Present and Future" will be held at the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland, in Rovaniemi on September 17-18, 2025. 

Climate change is taking a toll on youth mental health. To support young people facing eco-anxiety and grief, the Climate Collective is hosting a free virtual Climate Café on Wednesday, May 14 at 12:00 p.m. NDT. Youth aged 18–35 are invited to connect, reflect, and share in a safe space guided by a mental health professional.

The Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit Conference will take place on May 5–7, 2025, in Rovaniemi, Finland. One of the key partners of the conference is the Thematic Network on Arctic Transport and Logistics, together with the Centre for High North Logistics, Nord University.

Contributions are invited for the upcoming edited volume "The Arctic's New Geopolitics: BRICS+ Policies and Investments", under the editorial guidance of Dr. Alexandra Middleton and Dr. Monojit Das.
