At ASSW 2025, the UArctic Next-Generation Science Diplomats Committee convened and supported two panels on the potential synergies and intergenerational imperatives of the Fifth International Polar Year.

The Thematic Network on Critical Arctic Studies invites conceptual and empirical papers from various disciplines and fields that discuss issues of caring for life in an Arctic context. The Critical Arctic Studies Symposium will be held on October 7-9, 2025, in Rovaniemi, Finland (in a hybrid mode).

Apply by April 24 at 18:00 for the chance to participate as a UN Youth Delegate of Italy at the upcoming UN General Assembly.

Apply by May 2, 2025 to the University of Oulu's two-week Arctic Summer School Program that will be filled with engaging educational and cultural opportunities.

The Award includes a 100,000 euro grant to a promising project that could contribute materially to preventing, mitigating, adapting, and reversing the effects of climate change in the Arctic. Nominations can be submitted until April 30, 2025.
