Last September Nord university conducted a digital tabletop exercise called Nuclear Emergency Preparedness Exercise-2020. This was developed in cooperation with the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (DSA) and Joint Rescue Coordination Center Northern Norway (JRCC NN).

On November 19-21 the Model Northern Forum 2020 was held. Nearly 250 young people, among them pupils, students, researchers experts from 11 countries and 30 Russian regions attended the event.

Academy of Finland selected the Atmospheric and Climate Competence Center (ACCC) as one of the 4 funded Finnish Flagships. The ACCC is coordinated and led by Professor Markku Kulmala, the lead of the UArctic Thematic Network on Arctic Boreal Hub.

On December 10-11, 2020, the Arctic State Institute of Culture and Arts (city of Yakutsk, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), North-East Russia) will host the international online conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Institute activities. English is one of the working languages, participation is free.

Tomsk State University (Russia) hosts The Fifth Anniversary College Town Forum "Virtual vs physical spaces & communities" on December 2-4, 2020. The Forum will be devoted to rethinking of challenges that digital transformation poses for modern education and science.

The virtual bridge will follow an Indigenous approach to content development and will be built on the principle of “slow culture”, that is, telling slowly and in details, showing videos about folk myths, cultures, arts, creative workers of sciences and arts. Start date: December 1, 2020.
