The High North Dialogue Conference, takes place in Bodø, Norway, April 3-4, 2019. The main theme is Business in the Arctic.

The second Arctic Science Ministerial (ASM2) took place in Berlin, Germany on the 25-26 October 2018. The main goal of the ASM2 is to further co-operation in arctic science, by addressing challenges and creating joint action. For full report click here.

Jacob Taarup-Esbensen, from Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and member of the steering committee of the Thematic Network Arctic Sustainable Resources and Social Responsibility, conducted research in the Faroe Islands and attended a Themactic Network meeting in Canada, with the aid from north2north funding.

On 1-2 November 2018, the Arctic Council will gather in Rovaniemi, Finland for the third Senior Arctic Officials’ meeting held during the Chairmanship of Finland (2017-2019).

The University of Lapland hosts The Model Arctic Council (MAC), the event takes place October 29 - November 2. MAC is an academic program in which students from universities throughout the circumpolar north and beyond have the opportunity to get hands on experience with Arctic concerns.

A study published in the renowned scientific journal Nature Climate Change, researchers from the University of Helsinki and the Finnish Environment Institute analysed how projected changes in temperature and snow cover duration will affect the risk for extinction in northern flora, is now available. Árni Jóhan Petersen from the University of the Faroe Islands participated in a north2north mobility research stay in British Colombia in 2018, where he studied the effects of "gold rush" on local communities, the stay also involved the UArctic Thematic Network on Arctic Sustainable Resources and Social Responsibility.
