The 10th Arctic Frontiers conference, titled Industry and Environment, will be arranged in Tromsø, Norway on 24-29 January 2016. The organizers invite abstracts for presentations to any of the three parts: environmental footprints, Arctic stewardship, and technology needs. Call for papers closes on 21 September 2015.

The Singapore-Arctic Council Permanent Participants (AC PP) Cooperation Package offers full postgraduate scholarships for Arctic indigenous peoples for studying in Singapore. The scholarships are available for three Master's programs in public policy, public administration and maritime studies.

On May 21, Russia celebrates the Day of polar explorer. This Day is celebrated since 2013.

Anastasia Emelyanova and Sandra Juutilainen are PhD students whose research focus is tightly in the Arctic issues and they both have close connections to University of the Arctic’s graduate programmes and other activities.
