The three-year international project "Management of small and medium-sized enterprises in the North", implemented by the cognominal UArctic Thematic Network was completed 2015.

Brian Rogers, chancellor emeritus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks, was today re-appointed as chair of UArctic's Board during their meetings in Rovaniemi, Finland. Rogers began as his first term as a Board member in 2009, and became chair during his second term in 2012. He will conclude his final term as chair in 2018.

In November 2015, the official website of the Union of Reindeer Herders (Nenets Autonomous District (NAD), Russia) was launched and is going to become a informational basis for reindeer husbandry in the District.
