The Kolarctic team is pleased to announce that in anticipation of the upcoming Kolarctic CBC Programme 2014 – 2020, the Project Cycle Management (PCM) Workshops will be organized in November 2015 in the Programme countries.

Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) based in the Russian city of Vladivostok is one of UArctic's newest members. Following their participation in the recent Rectors' Forum in Umeå, FEFU has now officially signed the UArctic Charter, endorsing all our higher education principles.

Dr. Pat Maher from the Cape Breton University, Canada, has been awarded approximately $215,000 by the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) for a project he is co-leading with Dr. Outi Rantala, UiT the Arctic University of Norway.

Nafisa Yeasmin from the University of Lapland was one of the applicants who received financial support for mobility to and from the Kingdom of Denmark under north2north, UArctic mobility and exchange program.

September 23, the Forum on road safety in the Barents region started in Syktyvkar. In the frame of the Forum, a meeting of the road administrations directors from Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia (Komi, Karelia, Arkhangelsk region) was held.
