During the last three years, the Secretariat of the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) was hosted by the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat in Stockholm (Sweden) with the support of the Swedish Research Council. Starting in 2009, the Secretariat moved to Potsdam (Germany).


The Bert Bolin Centre for Climate Research at Stockholm University, in collaboration with the Bjerknes Research School in Climate Studies at the University of Bergen, scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the University of Cambridge, announce a summer program on arctic climate.


The Department of Atmospheric Science at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is seeking applications from graduate students whose work will focus on surface wind field simulation and analysis. There is no deadline for application, but the positions are slated to begin as soon as possible.
