As a part of a extensive tour of the Yamal-Nenets Region, UArctic representatives,  led by President Lars Kullerud, visited the Yamal Polar Agroeconomic College in Salekhard, located in Siberian Russia, to meet with students and try authentic local cuisine on April 7, 2008.

This one-day seminar is a joint initiative by the Canadian Circumpolar Institute and the Thule Institute. It is the first in a proposed series and is organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Canada in Finland. The Seminar will take place at the University of Oulu in Finland, on May 19, 2008.
