The 8th Association of Canadian Universities for Northern Studies (ACUNS) International Student Conference on Northern Studies, under the theme Melting Boundaries: Carrying Out Effective Research in the Circumpolar World, will be held at the University of Sakatchewan, Canada, from October 19 to 21, 2007.

The Snowchange cooperative will organize the Snowchange 2007 Workshop on Traditions of the North in Neriungri, Republic of Sakha, Russia, from April 2 to 8, 2007.

The Borealis Conference 2007, under the theme Building Capacity for Sustainable Places in the Circumpolar North, will take place in Alta, Norway, from March 5 to 7, 2007.

The University of Lapland and the Arctic Centre will be hosting the conference Knowledge and Power in the Arctic in Rovaniemi, Finland, from April 16-18, 2007. A first call for papers has been announced.

The Tourism at Work research project will host the Third International Winter Academy under the theme New Work in a Mobile Work in Rovaniemi, Finland, on 10-12 May, 2007.

The International PhD School for the Study of Arctic Societies (IPSSAS) invites Ph.D. students to submit their applications to the IPSSAS SEMINAR 2007 under the theme of “Living Communities. New Perspectives on Inuit Urban Life” to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from May 21 to May 31, 2007.
