The largest ever gathering of members of the Council of UArctic today concluded its meetings at the beginning of the UArctic Congress 2018 in Oulu.

Leaders of many UArctic's member universities met during the first day of the UArctic Congress 2018 to share experiences and address key issues facing northern higher education, including the main themes of the event.

Hosted by the University of Oulu and the University of Helsinki, the UArctic Congress 2018 represents the largest event ever organized by the University of the Arctic, with over 600 participants from more than 30 countries.
