Students at UArctic institutions with a north2north contact, can apply for a north2north student exchange at another member institution. The application deadline for the next calendar year is Feb 15, 2017. 

November 26 – December 1 UArctic president Lars Kullerud visited Yakutsk. The President participated in the international seminar on the Arctic Council project EALLU: Reindeer youth, adaptation to climate change, and traditional food culture in the framework of the program.

On 29 November 2016, the rectors of North-Eastern Federal University and UiT the Arctic University of Norway signed a Cooperation Agreement.

Three master’s degree programs at the University of Lapland, Finland will be open for applications December 1, 2016 − January 31, 2017. The programs are Arctic Art and Design, Media Education, and Tourism, Culture and International Management. Studies start in September 2017.

Three of the Arctic Sustainable Arts and Design Network partners (the University of Highlands and Islands, Iceland Academy of the Arts and the University of Lapland) arranged a collaborative socially-engaged art workshop in Westfjords Iceland.

Global environmental change calls urgently for new perspectives, practices and fresh imaginations. The book Interventions explores new possibilities for visualizing environmental change and introduces innovative ways for communicating environmental change and raising public awareness on environmental issues.
