The UArctic Day provided information about UArctic activities and introduced possibilities for research cooperation and education, and for student exchange. The Day was organized on the 11th of May 2015 by the Thematic Networks and Research Liaison Office located at the Thule Institute, University of Oulu.

The Institute of Earth Sciences of Saint Petersburg State University (SPbSU) and University of Tromso (UiT) are providing joint field courses for second year students in summer 2015 as part of their collaboration in the UArctic Thematic Network on Arctic Geology.
