The 2015 edition of UArctic's annual magazine Shared Voices has been released and is now available for download. This year's theme focuses on our Russian members and partners, interregional cooperation, and higher education and science in the North from a Russian perspective.







19-20 June 2015 the European University in St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg Institute of History Russian Academy of Sciences organize an international conference participated by well-known scientists from Russia, the USA, UK, Germany and Finland. The conference continues the cycle on the reforms’ history in Russia.


Tyumen State Oil and Gas University jointly with Institute of Earth Cryosphere of Russian Academy of Science (Siberian Department of Russian Academy of Science) organize field course on the Chara river (Zabaykalsky krai) 


The 10th Arctic Frontiers conference, titled Industry and Environment, will be arranged in Tromsø, Norway on 24-29 January 2016. The organizers invite abstracts for presentations to any of the three parts: environmental footprints, Arctic stewardship, and technology needs. Call for papers closes on 21 September 2015.



The Sasakawa Peace Foundation invites applications for innovative programmes and projects focusing on issues related to peace and security. The Foundation supports projects addressing problems in the fields of international understanding, exchange, and cooperation. Deadline is 31 October 2015.
