The 11th International Conference on Permafrost (ICOP 2016) will be held in Potsdam, Germany, 20-24 June 2016. The conference aims at covering all relevant aspects of permafrost research, engineering and outreach on a global and regional level. Session proposals for ICOP 2016 can be submitted online until 1 April 2015.

Hosted by Roskilde University, the first Kingdom of Denmark north2north  contacts meeting took place on January 9, 2015. Six UArctic institutions from Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Greenland joined the UArctic north2north mobility program together with UArctic institutions in the other Arctic countries. Apply by March 2.

In October 2014 UArctic launched its Student Ambassador Program and appointed the first Ambassadors. The training of the first group will take place during a four-day workshop on January 17-20, held in conjunction with the 2015 Arctic Frontiers conference.

Nunavut Sivuniksavut (NS) is excited to invite you to attend and participate in NS@30, a conference to celebrate innovation in Inuit and Indigenous post-secondary education. NS is a unique post-secondary program for Inuit youth from northern Canada, and the conference is being held to mark NS’ 30th anniversary.

The International Arctic Research Center (IARC) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) will arrange a summer school on Arctic in a warming climate: Connection to vegetation, permafrost and hydrology on 26 May–9 June 2015. Deadline for applications is 16 February 2015.

Five master's degree programs at the University of Lapland, Finland are open for applications for three more weeks (deadline January 30, 2015). The available programs are Arctic Art and Design, Comparative Social Work, International and Comparative Law, Media Education, and Tourism, Culture and International Management.

The UArctic Thematic Network on Arctic Law has published their second volume of Current Developments in Arctic Law. The online publication provides short updates on issues of legal significance taking place in the Arctic.

The University of Oslo offers an interdisciplinary master’s level summer course in June-July 2015 that combines Natural Sciences, Law and Social Sciences to explore the environmental, legal and political changes in the Arctic. Application deadlines: 1 February (scholarship applicants), 15 March (self-financed applicants).

The Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme (NPA) 2014-2020 announces the second call for main project applications from 5 January to 10 April 2015. The call is open for all four priority axes. Project decisions will be made on 9–10 June 2015.
